bdcs,
through its awarding body accredited centre partners, can
deliver the following SIA approved security training
courses as well as FA & Local Authority approved
Stewarding qualifications.
It is still
possible for organisations and candidates to be granted
funding* for some of these courses and
qualifications and even combine qualifications with level
2 or 3 NVQ's in order to make funding work to the
candidates best advantage, but will provide the candidate
with vital CPD (Continued Professional Development) as
well as the required statutory and additional
qualifications.
For example, a
person with a SIA Door Security Licence will still need to
enroll in a Spectator Safety NVQ to continue to work at
Football Grounds and other large spectator events;
so why not combine the two qualifications and
allow the funded NVQ to pay** to the Door Supervisor
training. The benefit will be that the person will have
the benfit of both sets of training and NVQ assessment and
will increase his/her working potential and be more
attractive to prospective employers.
* - Funding is
subject to candidate college enrolment and completion of
the NVQ qualification.
** - There
may be some certification,
registration and other costs the candidate has to pay when
courses are combined.
